The Day Jeff Quit Studying

Many, many moons ago, in high school my friend, let’s call him Jeff struggled with the regular weekly Biology test.
One afternoon I invited him to study with me. We grafted. Notes, flashcards, mind maps, the works.

Next day, Jeff walks up to me at breaktime and says:
“Life is sooo0oo unfair. I’m never studying again.

The only time I really tried… the test was easy. I just can’t catch a break.”

That line stuck with me.

Here’s the twist: when you do the work, the test often does feel easy.
That’s not the universe mocking you that’s the payoff.

Same in business:
Put in the grunt work on your marketing, gain clarity on your ideal avatar, consistent outreach, follow-ups, sharpening the offer.

Sales starts feeling easier. Shorter cycles. Cleaner calls. More yeses.
Don’t think like Jeff. The world isn’t against you; it’s indifferent.

It responds to inputs. It rewards hard work.

Do the reps. Then enjoy when the “test” feels easy.
